First Time We Met
December 2012Kevin and Nielsen have known each other since way back through the dancing community. The first time they were formally introduced was at a Mob Dance practice in SM Batangas, hosted by Nielsen’s family’s Dance Company. After that, they were always looking for more opportunities to dance together.
Officially Together
December 5, 2013Kevin and Nielsen grew closer as they became constant dancing partners, competing together in multiple dance competitions. On the 5th of December, 2013, in a dressing room during a school event, after they just performed a dance number, and while Kevin is preparing for his second dance performance, Nielsen asked Kevin the question – “Tayo na ba?” in which Kevin replied, “Oo naman.”
First Date
December 2013The first actual date only happened after Kevin and Nielsen were officially together. Kevin had to find an outfit for a Christmas Party, so he asked Nielsen to go thrift shopping with him in Lipa, Batangas. At this, any confusion on whether they were actually a couple or not, was gone. Kevin and Nielsen realized they really like each other, and love blossomed! Ever since then, their favorite date is thrifting.
Engagement
July 28, 2022After 8 years of being together, and surviving several years of long-distance relationship, Kevin and Nielsen grew to become the couple they hoped to be 8 years before. Kevin couldn’t let this amazing girl go, and so he took her on a trip to South East Asia, dancing their way through the different countries, just like they had done in their 8 years together. On the 28th of July, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, they danced their last dance as girlfriend and boyfriend. Kevin ended the dance on his knees, asking Nielsen to marry him. From here on, they became partners.
